Instead of having to buy wedding decor at inflated prices, you can purchase it from newlyweds looking to get rid of theirs. You save money on your wedding and the couple recoups some of the money back they spent (or their parents). It is a complete win-win!

Wedding items are expensive and are only used once. Not anymore! Now you can reuse, recycle, save money and save the landfill.

The best part is you can shop from a variety of items under one roof! Numerous brides sell at our events. We are the original wedding flea market and we have the largest number of sellers anywhere!

Our Story

Jodi Colella, the founder of Wedding Flea Market, was a bride-to-be. Discovering she had a passion for the process of planning a great wedding, Jodi soon launched a multi-service wedding business that included wedding/event planning, DJ services, and invitations.

After six years, she was the mom of a toddler and wanted to re-focus, so she closed her business. She was now left with a plethora of items from it and her own wedding.

In 2012, she went to Facebook and was surprised to find that were no local wedding-centric buy/sell groups on the world’s biggest social media platform. She decided to create a group where brides and newlyweds could buy and sell directly to each other. The large group is very active continues to grow. It has become Pittsburgh’s largest and most influential social wedding community.

As it grew, she saw that their exchanges were inconvenient. Often they took place in parking lots and if a newlywed had multiple items, she had to set up multiple meet-ups.  What if brides had the ability to buy and sell wedding decorations, attire, and supplies by connecting with one another in one place? Newlyweds could sell their gently used, often beautifully themed items, and brides-to-be could acquire high-quality wedding items at a great price. She announced the idea to her Facebook group in 2014. They leaped at the chance to sell and shop. The first event was held in January of 2015 with 50 sellers and 400 shoppers attended. Each event has grown in size, both in sellers and attendance.

Although Jodi is a Pittsburgh native, she hopes to use this concept to help couples across the nation create budget-friendly dream weddings. She loves to see how her vision has resulted savings and success for thousands of people.
